Jan 2019, ACRCloud assisted Public Performance Malaysia(PPM) to monitor the music usage for Malaysia Radio and TV channels. As a broadcast monitoring solution provider, ACRCloud monitors 70 Malaysian radio and TV stations locally and generate real-time results. The monitoring results will be used as the transparent fact for PPM to collect and allocate the music licensing fee among broadcasters and record label.
By ACRCloud solution, PPM can not only retrieve the music usage report but also can trace back to the recordings of historical audio/videos. With ACRCloud’s 70 Million global music fingerprint database, PPM can retrieve the detected songs with ISRC code. Additionally, ACRCloud has merged PPM local music database into monitoring  in order to return internal IDs for the data processing purpose.
In order to capture the Malaysia local TV signals, ACRCloud team have done the onsite installation of monitoring hardware in PPM Office based in Kuala Lumpur.

“PPM is impressed with ACRCloud’s monitoring system and look forward to working closely with ACRCloud to increase our monitoring results. ” Caren Lau, the General Manager of PPM comments.
